I majored in Fashion Design with a specialization in knitwear at Fashion Institute of Technology in New York and graduated in spring 2019. While studying at FIT I also interned at brands like Monse and Christian Siriano.
My creative approach to design is to look at shapes first and foremost and start from there. I like to work with different materials and I truly believe that inspiration exists in every inch of our surroundings. I have a tendency to go back and forth between structure and fluidity and most of the time I end up trying to balance the two to create a cohesive look.
For me, design in its most basic and essential sense comes down to an idea and the exploration of different themes surrounding that idea. From here on I look at a multitude of things that could stand in exact opposition to the idea in my head and my goal from there would be to combine these opposite elements and to bring harmony between them.
